Whistler Arts Council

Devin White is 18 years old and has lived in Whistler all his life. He started creating art at the age of thirteen- and has not looked back. He has been in a number of Art shows including Blind mute shows, ArtWalk and more.

For him Art is a way to experiment and explore. Through trial and error he has discovered many different phases in his Art. Art is a journey he is moving through. Devin does something new in every painting using old images, new images and re-editing images. He likes to create exciting new subjects and evolve his artistic abilities. For him the error of art is the actual art. What happens unconsciously when someone is not aware is sometimes the best thing that can happen. Experimenting with using anything but the typical mediums is a fun challenge, for example Devin likes using dyes and stains instead of paint.

Devin graduated in June 2011 and is starting at the Vancouver Art Institute in the fall 2011 to study Graphic Design. He likes the clarity of colour and design created thru the use of a computer.

Art is and has been  a big part of hislife , and will continue to be thru out the rest of his life
