Dean has been producing a consistent diet of spiritually charged entrées to the Whistler Arts menu for many years. His clients often come back for seconds to see what this local artist is going to offer next.
Last year, during Whistler’s inaugural “Art Walk”, he was first to reveal an amazing new technique which incorporated laser etched imagery into slate and granite. As Dean would explain, “the final pieces are all natural, just light and stone. No acids, chemicals, or dyes used in the process.” The real beauty is witnessing how each piece of stone reacts to light in its own original way. No two pieces will ever be the same.
This year, Dean is introducing another cutting edge technique. Selections of fine art prints from his Artists Reserve Collection are fused to polished aluminum. No glass, framing or molding. The surreal quality of this technique is elegant and captivating.
