Chili Thom - Painting for Beginners Course Outline This is an introductory course in acrylics, suitable for those who have never picked up a paint brush or the novice painter. The class will focus on the fundamentals of colour theory, composition, paint handling and application, while developing one’s creative and perceptual skills. With plenty of guidance and individual attention, students will paint from still life of Whistler’s sublime scenery. Bio Born and raised in B.C., Chili Thom draws his inspiration from the vast and majestic wilderness of the Pacific Northwest. Avid skier, hiker and explorer Chili Thom uses linear brushstrokes in acrylics unique perspectives and saturated colours to capture motion and the passage of time.
